Important: advice about pollination
Pears tend to come into blossom quite early in the spring, putting the blossom at risk from late frosts. If this happens Invincible, unusually, will often produce a second set of blossom.
Invincible is also unique in that it comes into bearing at a younger age than most other pear varieties, 2-3 years instead of 4 years or more.
Delbard nursery, France, 20th century. Sometimes known as Fertilia.
