Important: advice about pollination
Braeburn is fairly easy to grow, but it prefers a warm climate, so to be successful in northern Europe you need to choose a sunny aspect. The main challenge is that Braeburn needs a long ripening period - and a good summer. Being a commercial variety, it is well-suited to the more dwarfing rootstocks such as M9.
Discovered in New Zealand in the 1950s, possibly a seedling of Lady Hamilton.
